Darrell Neubert,
Dickinson SBDC Business Advisor

Darrell joined the Dickinson SBDC in January 2017.  He is an experienced professional who comes to the SBDC with 15 years of diverse, fast-paced federal government, state government, non-profit and private sector experience, delivering positive results. With an educational background focused on strategy and administration, Darrell provides expertise on strategic planning, innovation, and project management to the SBDC role. Darrell previously provided entrepreneurial coaching and counseling at Dickinson State University through the Innovate ND program. He currently is an Associate Professor of Business at Dickinson State University and teaches Entrepreneurship and Business Communication for the Department of Business and a Leadership course in the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program. He holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Florida State University. He is a Certified Balanced Scorecard Strategic Planning Practitioner, Certified GrowthWheel practitioner, and a Certified Business Model Canvas facilitator.

Darrell is also the Executive Director of the North Dakota Soccer Association, an 8,000-member state-wide youth and adult soccer organization; coaches the U19 Boys soccer team in Dickinson; and enjoys Public Announcing for the DSU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams, Women’s Volleyball, and Men’s Baseball team. Darrell spends his “free time” with his wife, Annette, a federal archaeologist with the Bureau of Land Management and his two daughters Alexandria (11) and Evelyn (2). He also has two mutts, two goldfish, and a turtle.
